CHOIR.
Many of you watched on TV or attended directly to the spectacle - the holiday song. Oratorios, cantatas, songs are performed on them in a large group of participants - the choir.
All choirs are divided into professional, amateur, school and household. Household choirs, usually organized on the principle of joint work or residence. Among workers was a talented soloist who started the song and kept it until the end. All the rest, listening to the voice leading, adjusts to it, decorating it to their melodic patterns, and pouring the song, performed by a great love for life. Such an amateur, as it is now called, the choir there in almost every village, in every village. They were in the cities, the factory settlement where the evening going to working men and women, and wound up songs that brightened his difficult life.
Distinctive features appear in the melodic and rhythmic pattern, in polyphony, in drama, dance, composed of singers. In Ukraine, folk song often accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, and in Georgia song sounds more often performed by men's chorus a cappella.
Participants in academic professional teams specially trained in singing, their voices sound exactly in all areas of the range, the range can reach two octaves. They own singing breathing, diction, dynamics, and other vocal skills. Amateur choirs - it groups consisting of singers for whom singing in the choir is not a profession. They have emerged in many countries in the organization of special choral societies. Many amateur choirs achieve a high level of performance, and often composers trust them to do their first works.
All choirs, and professional and amateur, are divided into homogeneous, in which only males sing, only women or children, and mixed - they are singing men and women or boys and men. The usual mixed choir consists of four parties: women's voices - soprano, alto, and (if you sing in the choir boys, it is called treble soprano parts), men's voices - tenors and basses. Each party in turn can be divided into several distinct groups, depending on the score of the executable works. Number of games in the chorus determines its type - two-, three-, four-, six-, eight-chord, etc.
The minimum of the choir - 12 persons (3 persons in the party), the maximum - 100-120. Sometimes, several groups are combined in choir. In this choir sing 200, 400, 600, and 800. Combined choirs perform on the big holiday concerts at musical festivals.
